Dixie is one of the sweetest girls!  Her nickname is “Circles,” because she had a stroke in her past and she tends to walk in large circles.  She is very good at avoiding obstacles, though.  Besides her extra-curricular activity, she is a healthy girl looking for a home of her own.   

Benji is a character!  He is completely blind after losing one eye to glaucoma and then surgically “killing” the other so he wouldn’t lose that one too.  He is spunky and sweet and sniffing out a home of his own!

Pickles is a sweet and gentle soul who was found in the road in Tampa after his owner passed.  Pickles loves to cuddle and sit on your lap.  He sleeps most of the day and is very quiet.  He is completely blind.Pickles

Lucy is a 13 year-old min-pin.  She is a special needs dog as she is blind and diabetic.
She is a very cuddly girl but due to her medical issues, Lucy is not fully potty trained.

Orion is a 10 year old, neutered male Chihuahua mix. He was a stray turned in to Sarasota County Animal Services. He came to Vintage Paws in May 2015. Upon arrival, he had a hernia repair, was neutered and lost all but two teeth. He has senior dog changes happening in his eyes but still has good vision. He is a sweet boy who gets along with other dogs and kids. He is a little temperamental around large dogs but will settle down. He has not been cat tested. Orion will need remedial potty training for urinating. He is a very happy dog and very quiet.

Chester is a 10 year-old medium size mix. He was found as a stray in Sarasota County. He loves to go for car rides and is good with other dogs and kids. Chester is fully potty trained and in good health.CHESTER
Hope is an approximately 10-year-old, female Shih Tzu. She was a stray from Sarasota County Animal Services. She is sweet and loving, partially blind, and her back legs sometimes get stiff. She has been with us since October 2015.


Hugo is a neutered, male 13 year old Maltese mix. He came to Vintage Paws in March 2015 after his owner surrendered him to Manatee County Animal Services. Hugo needs to potty frequently and may do so without notice. He gets along good with other dogs, unknown about cats. His favorite hobby is sleeping in funny positions. He is a very quiet boy. Hugo has dry eye and requires eye drops, twice a day, every day for the rest of his life.
