Vintage Paws Sanctuary is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, EIN 45-3687769. We rescue senior dogs who have been abandoned, surrendered to shelters, or whose humans have died. Often these dogs have medical needs, along with their advanced age, that make adoption unlikely. Our goal is to provide a sanctuary for these old souls to live out their lives with dignity, surrounded by the loving care they deserve.

How can you help? You can Adopt or Foster a senior dog. If that isn’t right for you, you can be a Senior Buddy, or Volunteer. Our residents love to walk, cuddle and even play, and they appreciate any time you can give!

If you can’t help any of these ways, you can always Shop! We have a Wish List on Amazon!

Please spend some time on our website, and learn more about Vintage Paws.

Thank you for supporting senior dogs!!

It’s time for the Community Foundation of Sarasota County’s The Giving Challenge. And, it is time for you to “Be The One” who makes all the difference in our world of senior dogs.

The Giving Challenge is a 24-hour fundraising event for nonprofits serving Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte and DeSoto counties. This year’s Giving Challenge is from noon May 1 to noon May 2. During that time, The Patterson Foundation will provide a 1:1 match for all unique form donations, up to $100 per donor.

Keep in mind, checks and cash are always appreciated but are not eligible for fund-matching during the Challenge. And help us spread the word: ask friends, family and co-workers to share and donate during the Challenge.

Can't donate on May 1st or 2nd? We have you covered!

Complete this pledge form and we will enter your donation for you during the Challenge!  All information will be securely stored:

Vintage Paws Sanctuary relies solely on donations, raising money through grants, fundraising and private donors to give our senior dogs the chance to live out their remaining days, months or years. We also educate the public about caring for their own senior dogs and how to make their senior years more enjoyable.

Our organization is run 100 percent by dedicated volunteers and all donations go directly toward the ongoing and emergency medical expenses of the 60 dogs in our care. Last year, we raised $116,822 through fundraising activities such as Lip Sync Contest, Bowling, Painting With A Twist, and Motorworks Yappy Hour. Vintage Paws has been saving seniors for more than four years and we hope to keep the care going for many years to come.

Please read on to hear the story of Coby, a sweet 12-year-old Eskimo dog who came to Vintage Paws to be healed and loved. He is only one of many seniors we rescue and rehabilitate each and every year.
